Promoter: Savvy Investments Co Pty Ltd ABN 50 698 325 334

Governing law: New South Wales, Australia

Last updated: 7 June 2026

1. About This Competition

1.1 The SurpriseBonus Tagline Competition ("Competition") is promoted by Savvy Investments Co Pty Ltd ABN 50 698 325 334 ("Promoter", "we", "us", "our") through surprisebonus.com.

1.2 The Competition is a game of skill. Winners (if any) are selected by a panel of judges based on the merit of submissions. Chance plays no part in determining winners.

1.3 Entry is subject to these Competition Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

1.4 The Competition invites entrants to submit an original tagline that captures what SurpriseBonus does — helping people discover government programs they may be eligible for — without sounding like a government agency or promising definite payout amounts.

2. Competition Period

2.1 Opening and closing dates for entries will be published on surprisebonus.com/competition before the Competition opens. The Promoter may extend or shorten the Competition period with notice on that page.

2.2 Entries received outside the published Competition period will not be accepted.

3. Eligibility

3.1 Entry is open to natural persons who are Australian residents and aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

3.2 Employees, contractors, and officers of the Promoter, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter or win.

3.3 Unless we state otherwise on the competition page, limit one entry per person per Competition period.

3.4 By entering, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements in this clause 3.

4. How to Enter

4.1 To enter, complete the entry form at surprisebonus.com/competition during the Competition period.

4.2 You must provide your name, email address, and tagline (maximum 120 characters unless otherwise stated on the competition page).

4.3 You must tick the box confirming you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Entries without that confirmation are invalid.

4.4 There is no fee to enter. You are responsible for any costs associated with your internet access or device.

4.5 Taglines must be your original work, must not infringe any third-party intellectual property or other rights, must not be defamatory or unlawful, and must not impersonate or suggest affiliation with any government agency.

4.6 Incomplete, illegible, or late entries will not be accepted. Automated, bulk, or scripted entries are prohibited.

5. Judging

5.1 This is a game of skill. Submissions are judged on criteria including creativity, relevance to SurpriseBonus, memorability, clarity, and compliance with the entry brief and these Terms.

5.2 A panel appointed by the Promoter will judge eligible entries. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding judging outcomes except as required by law.

5.3 If, in the judges' reasonable opinion, no entry meets the required standard, the Promoter may declare that no winner is selected for a prize category.

6. Prizes

6.1 Prize details (including number of winners, prize descriptions, and values) are to be confirmed (TBC) and will be published on the competition page before the Competition opens.

6.2 Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash unless we expressly state otherwise on the competition page.

6.3 If a winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, or does not accept a prize within the timeframe we specify, the Promoter may award the prize to another eligible entrant or withhold the prize.

6.4 Any tax implications of accepting a prize are the winner's responsibility. We recommend winners seek independent advice.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 You retain ownership of your tagline when you submit it, except as set out in this clause 7.

7.2 By entering, you grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display your submission for the purposes of administering and promoting the Competition, including shortlisting and judging, without further compensation.

7.3 Winning tagline — IP assignment. If your tagline is selected as a winning entry, you assign to the Promoter all right, title, and interest in that tagline, including copyright and moral rights to the extent permitted by law, so that the Promoter may use it as a trade mark, tagline, or marketing copy for SurpriseBonus and related products.

7.4 You warrant that your submission is original, that you have the right to submit it and (if selected as a winner) to assign it, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

8. Privacy and Personal Information

8.1 We collect your name, email address, and tagline submission to administer the Competition, contact entrants and winners, and comply with our legal obligations.

8.2 Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By entering, you consent to that collection and use.

8.3 We may publish the winning tagline and the winner's first name and state/territory (if provided) on surprisebonus.com or related channels. We will not publish your full contact details without your consent except as required by law.

9. Disqualification

9.1 The Promoter may disqualify any entry or entrant that:

  • (a) does not comply with these Terms;
  • (b) contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
  • (c) infringes intellectual property or other third-party rights;
  • (d) is offensive, defamatory, unlawful, or inappropriate;
  • (e) is submitted using automated means or bulk-entry tactics;
  • (f) is submitted by a person who is not eligible under clause 3; or
  • (g) the Promoter reasonably believes was entered in bad faith or to manipulate the Competition.

9.2 If a winner is disqualified after selection, the Promoter may award the prize to another eligible entrant or withhold the prize.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Competition, including technical failures, lost or delayed entries, or inability to participate.

10.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law.

10.3 The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or corrupted.

11. General

11.1 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the federal courts of Australia.

11.2 Amendment or cancellation. The Promoter may amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition if circumstances beyond our reasonable control require it, or if we detect fraud or technical failure. We will publish notice on the competition page where practicable.

11.3 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Promoter in relation to the Competition.
